Building Blocks Preschool was established in 1982 as a mission of Faith Lutheran Church. It is a nonprofit preschool whose purpose is to serve as an extension of the family by providing a quality preschool program combined with the basic Christian values and teaching.

Philosophy

Building Blocks Preschool, through its carefully selected staff, exposes children to a wide range of activities, which will lay a solid foundation for intellectual, social, and emotional growth during the impressionable preschool years. The emphasis is on your child's development in the broadest sense, beginning with fostering his or her sense of individual worth. We attempt to convey attitudes and learning processes that will equip children, not only for later school experience, but for life.

Program Description

Building Blocks offers a two-day per week program for three year-old children, a three-day per week program for four year-old children, a four-day per week program for five-year old children. Our classes provide opportunities for students to learn at their own developmental level. The Young Five program is designed for children who will be five years-old by Feb. 1, 2009,  and who need the gift of time to grow in their development.

Class Schedule for 2013-2014

3 year-old Program (must be 3 by Sept. 1, 2013)
Tuesday and Thursday, 9:15am-11:30am

4 year-old Program (must be 4 by Oct. 1, 2013)
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:15am-11:30am 

Young 5 Program (Birthdate between 7/1/08 - 2/1/09)
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (add Tuesdays in January), 9:15-11:30am

A new Michigan law requires a child to be at least five years old as of November 1, rather than December 1, in order to enroll in kindergarten in the 2013-2014 school year. Subsequently, in the 2014-2015 school year, the child would have to be at least five years old as of October 1, and, beginning with the 2015-2016 school year, the child would have to be at least five years old as of September 1 in order to enroll in kindergarten.

Registration Fee: Non-refundable and due at time of enrollment

• $45 new students
• $40 currently enrolled students

• $80 T-TH program
• $110 M-W-F program
• $125 Young 5 program

*Second child in program will receive a 15% discount.

EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES AT FAITH

Adults:

Pastor Carr leads a Bible Study on Sunday mornings from 8:45 - 9:30 a.m., September through May. Grab a cup of coffee and a donut and join in!

Youth

Sunday School runs through May 19, 2013. Each sesson is from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. Children, grades Kindergarten through 12 years of age are encouraged to join any time during the school year. Contact the church office if you have any questions.       

Teens:

Faith's Teens meet every Sunday morning, September - May, in our Youth Room from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m. There are also monthly fellowship activities.  Call the church office or look on this website for upcoming events.
